Large Size Ladies Wedges
I read an article today about how ladies "wedges" came about. Thought I might share with you the interesting facts about your footwear.
Salvatore Ferragamo was a designer in the 1930's, and because leather was a rare find in the 30's he designed the wedge out of cork and wood because these were easy to find.
Wedges came out in a big way during the 1970s for men and women to wear, although the designs were more colourful and funky for the times.
Spice Girls retro style in the 1990s allowed women around the world to wear large size wedges with a bit of glitz and glamour.
Today you can find beautiful wedge heels and shoes for tall women, that are comfortable and look great with any outfit!
Just remember, wedges for ladies are a great alternative health benefit to heels. You look taller, your body looks skinnier, and with improved posture who could complain!?
Reduce falls with arch support, avoiding ankle and foot problems with your new wedges!

Famous Tall Women who Flaunt Heels
Famous Tall Women who Flaunt Stylish Heels
Being tall is one thing, but wearing heels,
even size 12 heels, that make you look taller and actually managing to carry
them off is something else. Add a little tinge of famous to the combination and
you’ve got yourself a distinct group of women. These ladies cause a stir wherever
they go, demanding attention while influencing almost everyone around them.
Here are some of the most famous ones.
Michelle Obama
The first Lady of the United States of
America has been voted as one of the most stylish people in the world. Her sense
of fashion is so good that no matter where she goes, one can’t help but take a
second look. The 5’11” Mrs. Obama has been known to wear heels as well, her
most recent being a couple of days ago at the Democratic National Convention.
Sporting bright heels that matched her one-of-a-kind dress, she went on to the
stage to deliver a powerful speech while looking absolutely amazing, which is
pretty difficult.
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy
This 5’9”, already famous singer,
songwriter and model shot to the sky when she married the then President of the
French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy back in 2008. She was all over the news then
and along with her famous kitten heels, was an inspiration to many who went for
her style soon afterward.
Maria Sharapova
Probably the tallest woman on this list, at
6’2”, tennis star Maria Sharapova still continues to dominate her opposition
every time she steps into a court. The height advantage she has on most players
has seen her win 4 Grand Slams and more than five years down the line, is still
one of the top players. Her use of heels at award ceremonies and other events
is also something to watch for.
Princess Diana
Who can forget one of the most influential women on that planet? Princess Diana was known for her elegance, beauty and
sense of fashion. Up until the late 90s before her tragic death at the tender
age of 37, the 5’10” Princess was a style icon along with her slender heels.
Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts has been in the film industry
for quite some time but it wasn’t until ‘Pretty Woman’ that she was deemed a
Hollywood star. The movie grossed a whopping $464 million worldwide and the
trademark heels the 5’9” beauty wore in the movie were instantly made iconic.
The actress continues to wear heels (shorter ones) till today.

Corporate looks for larger sized feet!
Make no mistake these longer styled heels are very foxy, but oh so feminine.
Pair up your Katie 'n' Me Jacoba's with a corporate outfit of black slacks, black or white top with a hint of colour in your belt.
This style is delicate enough to let people know you're great to work with, but handsome enough to let them know that you also mean business!

Large size retro vintage heels!
These t-bar heels are so perfect for larger feet. I would however suggest you avoid this style of shoe if you have thicker ankles.
Wider feet with more 'meat' on the bridge of the foot would look great in these.
These are very handsome shoes and would be great to wear to work, particularly if you work in a corporate atmosphere.
I could also see women wearing these as they have a retro vintage feel to them, so stylish.
